Three Generation Family Business

In 1987, grandfather Edmon, parents Jim & Katrina, and son Steve founded Laser-Tronics. Despite humble beginnings, they brought decades of combined experience, sheer grit and American determination to make a name for themselves in the laser engraving and machining industries. Their dream of business ownership was born.

The 1990s brought an opportunity to partner with Manning Motorsports doing custom car fabrication. Their new division, Diamond Motorsports, was added to the Tankersley brand. Monster Miatas (Miatas with a Corvette LS1 engines), Factory Five Shelby Cobra replicas, and classic car restorations were a perfect fit for car enthusiasts, Jim and Steve. This was a favorite time in Laser-Tronics history for everyone involved, and the burnout marks are still in the parking lot as proof.

In 2020, Jim and Katrina retired and passed the torch to Steve who has continued to work tirelessly to carry on a family legacy and grow Laser-Tronics into the company he envisions it can become.
